The Daily Telegraph is a mainstay of life in London and across the rest of the U.K.
The Brits believe they have a scoop as they’ve declared that Jim Furyk will be named this week as the Captain of the U.S. Ryder Cup team for 2018, when the matches are staged in Paris.
It would come as no surprise as Furyk has been named among the logical choices for consideration by the selection committee that is comprised of 2016 Captain Davis Love III, Phil Mickelson, Tiger Woods and officers from the PGA of America.
Furyk served as an assistant captain for Love in 2016 when the U.S. romped past Europe in the matches at Hazeltine National.
“I would love to have that job,” Furyk has said in the past.
And if what the Brits say is true he will get his wish if the announcement comes sometime this week.
