This stuff has got to stop.
Once again Justin Rose is No. 1 in the world and got there by staying home and doing nothing.
Brooks Koepka didn’t do much to keep the top spot thanks to a pretty pedestrian effort at the Tournament of Champions.
After his opening 76, it looked like he was there for the vacation instead of the competition. He followed that up with rounds of 70 and 73 and finally managed to break 70 on Sunday thanks to an afternoon with absolutely no wind.
Koepka finished four-under in Maui and posted a 24th place out of 33 players.
Not exactly grinding it out like a major championship.
Brooks spent last week in the Dog House so we’ll now send the algorithm geeks from the Official World Golf Rankings cave into the Dog House.
In the meantime Rose can enjoy the No. 1 spot, he worked so very hard for it last week.
