Hopefully, if all goes well, Jordan Spieth can get out of Singapore sometime before the Masters begins.
It probably feels that way to the world’s No. 1 play as the Singapore Open has moved to a Monday conclusion on the other side of the world.
Sadly, play was called again due to darkness on Sunday with Spieth ready to play the last hole, the par five 18th at the Sentosa Golf Club. It’s the third straight day of delayed play at the event.
That’s the bad news.
The good news is that a birdie on the that hole can pull Spieth within a shot of leader Younghan Song.
Spieth has worked his way to four-under for the final round and 10-under par for the tournament with the birdie hole in front of him.
Song is one-under for his round. He is 12-under par with three to play.
Three pars would do it for Song, who is looking for his first Asian Tour victory.
As for Spieth, he most likely can’t wait to get out of Singapore.
