When will Tiger Woods play competitive golf again?
No one knows.
Neither does Tiger.
Woods took a little trip to his new golf project outside Houston this week. It’s called Bluejack National and he was on hand for the opening of the short course at the development. It’s basically a par three layout and these are gaining in popularity as the logical place for children and adult beginners to learn the game of golf.
The coolest part of Woods’ appearance was 11-year-old Taylor Crozier making a hole-in-one as he hit the first shot on the short course.
Woods also did what he would not do in his own neighborhood last week. He gave an update on his physical condition.
“It’s a heck of a lot better then than now,” he said, referring to last December when he spoke at his Hero Challenge event in the Bahamas.
“I wasn’t feeling very good and you could see it all over me,” Woods continued. “I couldn’t play with me kids. I wasn’t able to throw and play catch with my son. These are things I couldn’t do. Now I can do them.”
Woods also confirmed that, as he originally stated, there still is no timetable for his return to the PGA Tour.
“I can’t say I’m playing next week or playing Houston, playing here, playing there. I can’t say that. When will I know? I’ll let you know. Because as of right now, I don’t.”
