Tiger Woods showed up at Congressional Country Club on Monday to pimp the Quicken Loans tournament that will be played the week after the U.S. Open at Oakmont.
Of course the question came up, the basic $64 million question, you know, hey Tiger, when are you gonna play?
He was thrown a soft ball, it started with a question about his health:
“Health? I feel good. My kids are sick but I’m good. On a serious note, I’ve been practicing at home. I don’t know if I’m going to play, if I knew, I’d tell you. It would be nice to say I’m gonna play on such and such date but I can’t.”
Woods then gave his customary “I’m progressing nicely” line then added with a tone of uncertainty:
I don’t know if I’m going to play whether it’s next week or a year from now. I don’t know.”
It certainly won’t be next week, not by the look of the three 102-yard wedge shots Woods tried to hit at the 10th tee, over the water to the green. All three found the water.
How about them apples?
