Is there anyone in Northern California happy that Tiger Woods backed out of the Safeway?

His name is Max Homa.

Yeah, that’s just about anyone’s reaction when you tell them that Tiger Woods is being replaced in the Safeway Championship field by Max Homa.
Homa was so happy he offered to pay for dinner next time he and Tiger “hang out” together.
As if Woods would hang out with a Web.com guy.
Homa is one of those obscure Web.com graduates who wasn’t in the field but now he is, thanks to Woods thinking that his game is “vulnerable” and that he basically is afraid to compete this week against what most would consider a weak field for a PGA Tour event.
Oh sure, Phil Mickelson’s there.
Maybe that’s why Woods backed out.
