He’s at it again.
Raise your hand if you picked up a quick 200-large last week.
Kevin Na did.
Once again, the PGA Tour’s under-rated, lovable underdog, the guy you wouldn’t recognize at the mall, the guy who doesn’t win, was at it again.
Na picked up yet another Top 10 finish at the Safeway Championship to get his season off and running, picking up a cool $201,000 for his wet week’s work.
All this kid does is make money playing golf — a lot of it. He’s got more than $22.8 million in career earnings and last year he banked $3.44 million and finished 19th on the money list. He finished 28th in the FedEx Cup last year and is currently ranked 36th in the Official World Golf Rankings.
Kevin Na is an ATM machine. Show up, collect checks, repeat the next week and the next.
It’s sorta mind boggling when you consider that back in 2012, he literally couldn’t get the club back. He’d waggle, waggle and waggle some more. Drove spectators and playing partners nuts. He admitted he had the dreaded “yips.”
Those are gone, he’s now a constant contender and just has to figure out how to make the next big step to become a consistent winner.
