“I want to see what’s out there.”
So said Eldrick Woods as he begins his quest for a new equipment deal.
Yes, Tiger’s been spotted at The Medalist Golf Club in Hobe Sound hitting some TaylorMade fairway woods on the practice tee, perhaps curious after Rory McIlroy put an M2 TaylorMade driver in his bag for the season-ending European Tour events, including the DP World Tour Championship in Dubai.
McIlroy is hitting the driver LONG and maybe that has Woods attention, after all, with the comeback thing looming and age setting in on him, Tiger will need all the distance he can find if he ever wants to be competitive on the PGA Tour again.
Nike has exited from the equipment business, leaving all its staffers free to shop.
No doubt Woods has his guy Stiney (aka Mark Stineberg) burning up his cell phone minutes to see which company is willing to pay Woods any significant amount of cash.
In the meantime, Tiger’s lapdog — Notah Begay — has told everyone that Tiger’s house on Jupiter Island looks like “a PGA Superstore.”
So there are obviously a lot of clubs lined up on the walls somewhere in Tiger’s crib.
The world will find out soon enough when Woods makes his return to golf next week at his Hero World Challenge in the Bahamas.

Why does one get the impression that this hack “writer” on a website few have ever seen before doesn’t like Tiger Woods and its very hard for him to hide his feelings. Eldrick maybe? Lap dog? . What happened? Did the NY Times lose your application? Talk about an agenda. You are a true professional and much too good to be on this little known website.
