An open letter to Jordan Spieth on his 22nd birthday:
Happy Birthday Jordan, happy 22nd birthday. It is hard for most of us to grasp the fact that you are that young, considering all you have accomplished at such a young age.
You’ve already given yourself some pretty snazzy birthday presents like a Masters jacket and the U.S. Open trophy. It’s pretty hard to follow up on those, making you the man who seemingly has everything. Yes, it’s hard for us to grasp that you just turned 22.
Please stay the way you are. You are grounded, you are personable, you touch the fans, you relate to them and most of all, you’re simply nice to people.
You don’t wave your wealth in front of us, and yes, you are already a wealthy man in the financial sense. But most of all, we can see your real wealth and that is your family, the values you carry from them and how you present yourself to the world.
Hopefully you are the next icon of the PGA Tour. We have a sense that the guy who came before you may be a bit washed up. He has annoyed many with his bad behavior and how he mistreats people. We know you will never be like that.
You have already thrilled millions with your major victories this season and you thrilled them again, even though you came up a shot short at the Open Championship.
No doubt you will make a serious run at the PGA Championship later this month. It would be incredible if you can win that and hold three of the four majors.
Most of all, just keep doing what you’re doing.
Your humility and appreciation for the people who watch you, the people who want your autograph, the people who just want to touch you, well, it’s incredibly admirable and refreshing.
So stay the way you are. You are already an impressive champion. Keep winning, keep smiling, keep on being Jordan Spieth, the good guy among us.
Happy birthday, Jordy!

I posted on the TW and Chris Como experiment and everything I said on that post was exactly what the writer of this article has said. Spieth is the ANTI-Tiger. His humility, smile, and overall good person is everything that TW was NOT. I hope he continues to win at the rate he is winning this year, and picks up many more majors. It is too early to compare him to anyone, but if we did, look at where he already stands in the history of golf. Youngest this, youngest that…..what an incredible young man and a true BREATH OF FRESH AIR for the game of golf.

I do agree with what you have written. Please keep up the great work Jordan. …
