Justin Thomas needs a vacation.
Seriously. The kid just won for the sixth, yes sixth time this calendar year, first of the silly cross-over season so thoughtfully invented by the PGA Tour.
J.T. just walked away with another $1.6 million thanks to whoever was nuts enough to put up $9.2 million for this CJ Cup at Nine Bridges on Jeju Island off the South Korean mainland.
J.T opened up at nine-under par the first day and that’s where he finished, tied in regulation with Marc Leishman. J.T. won the playoff when Leishman drowned a ball on the second playoff hole, took bogey to J.T.’s birdie.
“I officially have nothing left in the tank at the moment,” Thomas said after the playoff.
So that’s our que to tell J.T. that he needs a vacation. Jordan Spieth is on vacation, so is Dustin Johnson, so is Rory McIlroy. So is anyone with a lick of sense.
So yes, J.T., go put your feet in the sand somewhere on a tropical beach.
