The PGA Tour Wedding Of The Year (finally) took place this past Saturday when Dustin Johnson and Paulina Gretzky said their “I Do’s” at Blackberry Farm.
The wedding took place at the posh, five-star resort in Tennessee.
The gala weekend started last Thursday with three days of celebration, dinners and other functions.
The couple were engaged back in 2013 and have two sons — Tatum (7) and River (4).
D.J. may return to action on the PGA Tour in a couple of weeks at the Wells Fargo.
Scott Parel Wins ClubCorp Championship In Playoff:
Scott Parel was zero-for-three in Champions Tour playoffs but he made up for it Sunday afternoon at the ClubCorp Championship at Las Colinas.
Parel finished with a six-under par 65 then had to wait for Gene Sauers and new senior phenom Steve Alker to finish. Sauers shot 63 to tie Parel at 11-under and when Alker came to the par five 18th, he had an iron into the green for his second. He went long and failed to make birdie — it became a three-man playoff.
It didn’t take long to decide the winner. Parel was long of the green in two then watched both Sauers and Alker hit their seconds into the hazard short of the green. A pitch and two-putt par gave Parel his first playoff win.
“I’m glad to win a playoff — I’m 0-3 in these things,” Parel said. “I was fortunate both the guys didn’t hit the best second shots. I was just trying to get it over here and try to get up and down, which in the end turned out to be the right play.”
In the celebrity division, former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo was on the verge of winning the Stableford scoring until he hit into the hazard on the 18th and made bogey, while former tennis player Mardy Fish made birdie. They finished at 106 points, and Fish won the playoff when Romo again went into the hazard and Fish made birdie.

Steve Stricker Returns at Insperity:
Steve Stricker has taken near four months to recover from a mystery illness that put him in the hospital for nearly two weeks last November.
What caused his illness was never diagnosed. “They don’t know if it was a virus,” Stricker said. “They didn’t put a name to it. They couldn’t figure it out.”
Stricker will make his return to senior competition at this week’s Insperity Championship at the Woodlands outside Houston. He was eligible for the Players Championship this past march but was still in the recovery mode.
“I’m all in on it,” said Stricker, a seven-time winner on the senior circuit. “It’s giving me the opportunity to kind of, you know, to get stronger again, to have this focus on getting back all in to the golf. And again my family wants it, too. I mean Nicki is excited for us to get back out there. My kids are, you know, antsy for me to play events again. So it’s a family thing and they’re excited for me, you know, to get back after it.”

This has been the longest wedding buildup in the history of weddings. Kinda like the year 2000, its hard to believe the event just passed and nothing really changed.

What a scary situation for the Strickers. It’s scary they don’t know what to call whatever Sticks had. Maybe they should just call it Ryder Cup pressure.
