Good news is that Brittany Lincicome broke 80 in the first round at The Barbasol Classic.
Bad news is that she was only 16 shots higher than the first round 62 by leader Troy Merritt.
More bad news is that afternoon play on Friday was rained out.
Fortunately for Merritt, he played early and added a 67 to that opening 62 and is a whopping 15-under par after 36 holes.
Lincicome didn’t even get to tee off but she’ll be going home early with the project cut looking like three-under par.
After her 78 on Thursday, she’d need to go out and shoot 63 to make it.
That won’t happen.
