Sorry PGA Tour, the European Tour is the place to be this week.
The British Masters, to be precise, is the event to watch, or attend if you’re in the U.K.
Justin Rose, who was No. 1 in the world for a couple of weeks, is the host of the event at the Walton Heath Golf Club and if he can play bad host and beat everyone, he’ll regain that No. 1 spot.
He’s not the only member of the victorious Ryder Cup team on hand at Walton Heath.
The dynamic duo of Tommy Fleetwood and Francesco Molinari, who went 4-0 in team matches for Europe, will be featured in the same group along with fellow Ryder Cupper Thorbjorn Olesen, who took down Jordan Spieth in the Sunday singles matches in France.
But wait, there’s more, as the infomercials say. Victorious team captain Thomas Bjorn gets back to the fun part. He’s back as a contestant in the field.
Defending champion is Paul Dunne and he’ll play the first two days with the host, Rose, and Matthew Fitzpatrick.
It’s a big event on the European Tour as they get closer to the Race To Dubai season finale.
So while those PGA Tour guys are boiling in Malaysia, stay cool at the British Masters.
Better field, better course and yeah, Moli-Wood is reunited.
