Aditi Ashok gave the world a peek at her golf talents at the 2016 Olympics in Rio.
Now, she’s taken center stage on the Ladies European Tour.
India has a new golf hero and she’s only 18-years-old. Aditi captured the Qatar Ladies Open this past week, making it two in a row on the LET. She shot 15-under par at the Doha Golf Club and won by three over Carolina Hedwall and Lydia Hall.
“My first win was special because I won in India,” said Ashok, who captured the Hero Women’s Indian Open two weeks ago for her maiden victory. “It’s been a great few weeks,” the talented teenager added.
She hails from Bangalore, India, and began playing at age five with her father, Pandit, carrying her clubs.
She is the first Indian player on the LET and will compete for her LPGA card later next month at the LPGA Q-School in Daytona Beach.
