Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen is on a roll in the NFL and every QB needs a strong bond with his offensive linemen.
Allen came up with a great Christmas gift for the big guys up front in Buffalo. This year he presented all of them with custom fit Callaway Mavrik woods and irons and Ogio golf bags with the appropriate Bills logo on them.
For the guys who haven’t learned the game yet, Allen went one step further and set them up with lessons at Crag Burn Golf Club, a private club outside Buffalo.
“Obviously, gifts are extremely hard to buy for guys that have basically everything already,” Allen said. “I talked to them, and none of them had their own custom golf clubs, so it’s something that many of these guys maybe haven’t even done yet. Giving them the opportunity to go out and expand their horizons, try something new and just hang out on the golf course and get away from football for a little bit in the offseason, it’s something I love doing and hopefully one or two of them — or maybe even all of them, pick the game up and start to enjoy it as much as I do.”
Annika Will Dust Off The Clubs, Play In 2021:
Annika Sorenstam retired from competitive golf in 2008 but after playing once again with her father in the PNC Championship, she may be looking to make a return, sort of.
Annika will joining the field at the LPGA’s 2021 Diamond Resorts Tournament of Champions on January 21-24 at Four Seasons Golf and Sports Club outside Orlando. The event features celebrities, athletes and 40-plus LPGA winners from 2018, 2019 and 2020.
“I’ve taken out the golf clubs and dusted them off, and I’ve been playing a little bit and really enjoying it,” the 50-year-old Hall-of-Famer said recently. “My son is nine years old, and he has an interest in it. So it’s been a good reason for me to go out and just hang out with him, and that’s sparked my interest again. I just want to go out and make sure I can hit the center of the clubface again and see the ball go up in the air. So I’m super excited about that.”
Annika may also enter some events in 2021 like the U.S. Senior Women’s Open and PGA Women’s Senior.
