Tony Finau played the best golf of anyone on Sunday at Innisbrook.
He finished solo fifth and his stock is soaring.
In two weeks he’s scheduled to defend his title at the Puerto Rico Open.
If all goes well at Bay Hill, he may not be there.
Some things need to fall his way but with some big names choosing to skip the tedious task in Austin next week, Finau may have a shot after all.
“It’s a win-win situation,” said Finau, who if he had his way will be there with the top-ranked stars in Austin.
