He might be one of the most popular sports figures in the U.K.
He is Andrew “Beef” Johnston and he could be coming to a PGA Tour event near you next season.
“The Beef” will be in America the next three weeks to play in the first three events of the Web.com Tour’s version of the playoffs.
Johnson, who now has a huge endorsement deal with Arby’s, will play this week at the DAP event at Canterbury Country Club outside Cleveland.
Beef will also be in the field the following week at the Boise Open and will wrap up his USA tour in Columbus at the Nationwide Children’s Hospital event at the Scarlet Course of Ohio State University.
He hopes he can play well enough and earn enough money in those events to qualify for a tour card.
The steak houses in those three cities are happy.
