Okay, so you have the PGA Tour coming to Detroit for the first time with its modern, traveling circus atmosphere.
It’s too soon after the U.S. Open so most of the big names give it the bum’s rush.
Yet U.S. Open champ Gary Woodland and world’s No. 2 Dustin Johnson were there to save the day.
Or not.
Woodland missed the cut, but we’ll give him a pass on that. He no doubt was suffering from the U.S. Open flu (aka hangover), so that’s understandable.
But D.J.?
Maybe it’s because of his “what me worry” mannerisms but we have to ask if D.J. really gave it his best at the Detroit Golf Club?
While a bunch of no-names were going low, good old D.J. sauntered around and turned in rounds of 71-71. He grabbed his private jet and went home for the weekend.
Poor effort for sure.
So we’re sending D.J. to The Doghouse to hang out with the dogs, who don’t mind being lazy.
Just sayin’.
