For two days, it looked like David had a chance against Goliath.
Goliath won.
The Asian team went into Sunday’s singles competition in Kuala Lumpur with a single shot lead over Europe at the Eurasia Cup, but talent finally won out.
Europe won eight of the 12 matches and walked away with a 10-6 victory, winning the singles session 8 1/2 to 3 1/2.
Henrik Stenson, Tommy Fleetwood and Alex Noren got the landslide started and after that the outcome was never in doubt. The only European players who didn’t win were Paul Casey, Ross Fisher and Paul Dunne.
Stenson and company will now head for the first big event on the European Tour schedule — the HSBC Champions in Abu Dhabi where Rory McIlroy will make his season debut and world’s No. 1 Dustin Johnson will join the field after his impressive victory at the Tournament of Champions.

PAISLEY TAKES DOWN GRACE, WINS IN SOUTH AFRICA
Chris Paisley kept his poise Sunday after an early onslaught from Branden Grace took away his overnight lead at the South African Open.
Paisley entered the final 18 at 15-under par and was paired in the final group with Grace a more experienced and proven winner on the European Tour. Grace started birdie-eagle, got to 17-under par and took the lead but Paisley added a pair of birdies on his own and the two were tied through five holes.
The big momentum turn came at the par three sixth when a double-bogey derailed Grace. Paisley would go on to shoot a bogey-free 66 and his 21-under par delivered his first-ever European Tour win. Grace shot 68 and finished solo second, three back at 18-under. South African J.C. Ritchie finished solo third at 16-under.
American Chase Koepka, playing in his first event, closed with a 71 and his 13-under par effort earned him a tie for seventh.
