Jordan Spieth, who hasn’t won since the 2017 Open Championship has finally decided to do something that many have suggested over the past year.
Allegedly, at least according to Golf Digest.
Dave Shedloski, Golf Digest scribe, says that Spieth recently visited the semi-retired instructor extraordinare Butch Harmon.
Now Butch has gone into the “denial mode.”
Harmon went to his Instagram page and wrote: “This is not true and I have no idea who said this.”
Spieth is still with longtime coach Cameron McCormick in Dallas but supposedly went to Harmon for a second opinion. McCormick says that Spieth wanted “validation from Harmon that he is on the right path,” as far as some changes the two have been working on.
Over the past two seasons Spieth has finished 157th and 90th in the Strokes Gained Tee-To-Green category on the PGA Tour. He’s also outside the top 100 in Strokes Gained Putting the past three years. Ugh.
Spieth’s last victory came in a major — the 2017 Open Championship at Royal Birkdale. His spot in the world rankings has been a giant, steady fall and he’s currently at No. 84 in the Official World Golf Rankings.
So did he or didn’t he?
Golf Digest says yes, Butch says, well, sounds like he’s not in the “confirmation” mode.
PGA Tour China Cancelled (For Now):
The PGA Tour released an update late last week on the status of its developmental tours for the 2021 season.
The PGA Tour Canada (Mackenzie Tour) and PGA Tour Latino-America tours are expected to begin their official seasons in the next few months, while the PGA Tour China season has been canceled for 2021 because of the ongoing uncertainty surrounding the Coronavirus pandemic.
“We remain committed to the region and want to do everything we can to give competitive opportunities for players in Asia and from the Pacific Rim,” said Greg Carlson, PGA Tour Series-China’s executive director. “We are trying to pursue other opportunities for our players to play in 2021. We will also take this pause and evaluate what we might be able to do in 2022.”

Sounds like McCormick confirmed it.
It’s no insult to Spieths long time coach to visit the Goat. Seems like Butch is the last one to get that.
If it did not happen…It needs to happen. Jordan is a lost American icon. Butch has a responsibility to do something here; like a doctor passing by a wreck.

Maybe we can start a rumor that Trump went to see Butch and of course, Butch could deny it…..
