J.B. Holmes didn’t say anything about any injuries in his press conference this week at the Houston Open.
Late Wednesday, he pulled out of the tournament, citing a shoulder injury.
Injuries are part of the game but Holmes may have been precautionary with the Masters beginning a week from today.
He is the defending champion after he beat Jordan Spieth in a playoff last year.
Spieth is the main draw in this week’s field along with Phil Mickelson and Rickie Fowler.
