Joe LaCava was released from the Dog House late last week to loop for Tiger Woods this week in the first round of the FedEx Cup playoffs.
So what landed LaCava in our Dog House?
Well, it seems LaCava was getting heckled at Firestone during the WGC event and actually tried to pay the heckler to leave.
Which we find to be totally insane.
You’ve all watched Tiger Woods at PGA Tour events. He is surrounded by lots and we mean lots of security people and in-uniform police. It’s part of the Tiger deal. Any tournament he plays in has to provide extra security for El Tigre.
So Joe LaCava was getting the business from someone in the crowd?
Well, simple enough, all Joey had to do was consult with one of the local gendarmes and whisper: “That guy is being and pain in the ass and Tiger wants him escorted from the property.”
Voila, said offender become persona non grata at those tournament grounds.
So yeah, Joey was sentenced to time in the house, he’s out now, no ankle bracelet necessary.
However, that being said, if those New Jersey fans get wind that Joey’s willing to pay obnoxious fans to leave — look out!
Notorious Finger Biter Identified
You may remember last week’s fight and finger bite that led to the bitee’s sentence to the Dog House.
Seems the biter has been identified as one Derek Harkins, age 46.
He flat out bit a guy’s finger off and sadly, the finger could not be saved.
Harkins was taken to the local hooskow in Plymouth and apparently he’s now out on bond.
“Things aren’t always as they seem,” claims his barrister, Laurel Sweet.
Well, all we can say is that wasn’t very sweet of Harkins and he’ll have to remain in the Dog House, with a muzzle, for a yet-to-be determined amount of time.
