For some unexplained reason, John Daly has typically shown up in Augusta the week of The Masters to peddle his wares.
As in souvenirs and John Daly memorabilia.
He parks his monster tour bus at the Augusta Hooters, a natural resting place for his wheels.
On Friday, a car traveling down Washington Road lost control and crashed through a line of fencing around Daly’s bus. In the process of the wreck, Daly dove out of the way but injured his knee when he made the dive. He was treated on the spot by paramedics and will undergo x-rays and an MRI to make sure his knee is okay. He is scheduled to play in next week’s event on the Champions Tour event in Duluth.
The accident occurred around 11 a.m. ET, when a women traveling westbound on Washington Road attempted to make a U-turn and lost control of her car.
“I can’t believe no one got hit. This is the people-watching spot. She was going 40 mph,” said Daly’s girlfriend, Anna Cladakis said. “It happened so fast.”
