John Daly is finding out that this comeback stuff isn’t all that easy.
Daly’s second day at the Insperity was a struggle and he had to birdie two of his final four holes to shoot 73 at the Woodlands and fall back into a tie for 21st. He was three-over par through 11 holes but birdies at the 15th and 18th helped him salvage his round.
He will go into Sunday’s final round six behind co-leaders Jeff Maggert (69) and Jesper Parnevik (68).
First round leader Mike Goodes is a shot off the lead after shooting 72.
