Hard-living John Daly got himself a win on the Champions Tour this season and now he’s in contention on the European Tour.
This week’s stop is the “Made In Denmark” Championship and Daly is right there near the top going into Sunday’s final round at the Himmerland Golf and Spa Resort in Farso.
But it’s no Farso that our American-made Fatso shot 65 on Saturday.
Daly is in at 11-under par, just three behind 54-hole leader David Horsey from the U.K.
But Daly is not the low American. Julian Suri of New York, who competes on the European Challenge Tour, is in the final pairing with Horsey. Suri is 12-under par.
Daly has company at 11-under. Chris Paisley of the U.K. and France’s Gregory Havret are there with him.
