John Daly has his own National Lampoon Tour going and he’s been on the road in Europe.
Last week it was Denmark, this week it’s the Czech Republic.
Daly’s playing in the Czech Masters, his Loudmouth trousers getting plenty of attention. The broadcasters for the European Tour don’t know what to make of the eye-rubbing prints.
Daly, who finished in a tie for 10th last week at the Made In Denmark event, got off to a decent start on Thursday at the Albatross Golf Club. He was a couple under par at the turn and had some problems coming home, still he was one-under par for his round with two holes to play but a bogey , double-bogey finish derailed Big John and he finished with a two-over par 74, eight shots behind first-round leader Callum Shinkwin from the UK.
There’s another American who grabbed the headlines last week by winning in Denmark and that was Julian Suri, who is now exempt on the European Tour. Suri’s good play carried over and he posted a four-under par 68, only two shots back of the leader.
