Jordan Spieth is the man to beat Down-Under this week.
Yeah, Jordy’s back after kickin-back for a couple of months.
Spieth is heading for Sydney to defend his title at the Australian Open.
There will be something different this week however.
Spieth’s letting caddie Michael Greller enjoy Thanksgiving with his family. Spieth is taking his swing coach — Cameron McCormick to the Australian Golf Club to tote the bag.
For McCormick, it’s a return to his home country.
McCormick, the 2015 PGA Teacher of the Year is originally from Melbourne but now lives in Dallas where he has taught Spieth since he was a star in the junior golf ranks.
This will be the fourth time Spieth has ventured to the other side of the International Date Line to compete in Australia. He’s won twice and this year his main competition will come in the form of Aussie golf icon Jason Day, a former world’s No. 1 who is seeking to regain the form that took him to the top of the world rankings.
You can catch it on television starting Wednesday evening on The Golf Channel.
