Thirteen players — including Brooks Koepka, Bubba Watson and Hideki Matsuyama, owe a thank-you note to Justin Thomas.
The 36-hole cut-line was looking like it would come at two-under par Friday at The Players Championship. Until J.T. gave everyone a helping hand.
Thomas stood over a putt of about two-and-a-half feet at the 18th hole to finish his round with a second straight 71.
He missed.
Instead of posting two-under, he fell back to one-under and that miss moved the 36-hole cut to one-under par.
A total of 14 players, J.T. included, are tied for 67th going into the final 36 holes.
