Give Tiger Woods credit, it didn’t hurt to ask.
Tiger, like everyone else, knew that Brooks Koepka’s caddie — Ricky Elliot — has unique knowledge of the nooks and crannies at Royal Portrush.
So Tiger relayed this one at his Open presser:
“Tell you a funny story,” Tiger began.
“I texted Brooksie, congratulations on another great finish (at the US Open).
“And I said, Hey, dude, do you mind if I tag along and play a practice round?
“I’ve heard nothing.”
Can you blame Koepka?
He’s not on the “Let’s Help Eldrick” bandwagon.
Certainly not Dog House worthy but Brooks does get a huge tail-wag from all the dogs!
