Uncertainty is the buzz-word for the Koepka family golfers — Brooks and Chase.
There have been no updates from Brooks on the condition of his left knee. For a guy who takes to social media often, not a hint, nothing. There’s more information leaking out of The Pentagon than the Brooks Koepka camp.
On the other hand, younger brother Chase will start 2020 struggling for a place to play. He tried to follow his brother’s map for success by playing on the European Tour. He had little to no success, got demoted to the Challenge Tour and lost his playing status there. Chase is back in the United States, probably a financial decision. When you’re not making any money and spending a lot traveling all over the globe, perhaps its time for a change in scenery.
Chase made it to the Korn Ferry Q-School finals. He finished out of the top 50 which means he won’t have much to count on when it comes to starts on that tour. When you’re that far down the list, it becomes so very important to play well when you manage to get in an event. That’s a lot of pressure for someone who is not playing well.
Good news is that brother Brooks has made a truck-load of money and can bank-roll Chase in his quest to play professional golf.
So we don’t know when we’ll see Chase on the Korn-Ferry tour.
Bad news is, no one knows when we’ll see Brooks on the PGA Tour.
