They’re going really low at the CareerBuilder, which should probably be re-named “The BirdieBuilder.”
Andrew Landry carded 65 on the Nicklaus Tournament course Friday but as good as that was, he’s just a shot in front of the field’s highest-ranked player — Jon Rahm.
Rahm’s 67 got him to 15-under par and he’ll now head over to the Stadium Course for his final two rounds.
Jason Kokrak was two off the lead while former Masters and Open champion Zach Johnson let everyone know he’s around. Johnson’s dazzling 64 on the Nicklaus Course got him to 13-under.
There won’t be a true leader until after Saturday’s third round when the entire field has played all three courses in the pro-am rotation.
On Sunday they’ll get rid of the amateurs and let the pros duke it out.
