If you are in the market for a new home and want some digs formerly owned by a world-class player then Lee Westwood wants you to buy his house.
Westwood is undergoing a major life change. He’s going through a divorce and will be moving back to England.
He moved to Palm Beach County in February of 2013 and paid $5.8 million for a 10,000 square-foot pad in the Old Marsh Golf Club. The house has golf course frontage. Westwood has a $4.2 million mortgage on the property.
He is giving up his PGA Tour membership and returning full-time to the European Tour. That way he can be closer to spend time with his two children.
Westwood will still have plenty of appearances in the states. He typically plays in all the WGC events, the Masters, the U.S. Open and the PGA.
Still it’s a huge lifestyle change for Westwood, whose net worth is estimated to be in the $30 million range. He’s going to take a big hit there as well.
