It was a pretty silly way to suffer an injury.
You may or may not recall that Lexi Thompson was doing a photo-shoot back in February of 2015 and it included her cardio-boxing routine and the magazine thought it would be really cool if she punched a writer (wearing protective gear) during the shoot.
As a result, Thompson suffered a bone bruise in her right wrist that has troubled her from time to time since then.
Well, it’s flared up again.
Thompson announced last Friday that she can’t compete in the 2018 Diamond Resorts Pro-Am in Orlando.
She showed up during the final round in Naples when she played with Tony Finau in the CBE Shootout with that funky kinesthetic taping on her wrist and forearm. Now she’s under doctor’s orders to not hit any balls for the next few weeks.
She’s hoping to be ready for the LPGA Opener in the Bahamas on January 18.
