Okay, when the PGA Tour’s slogan was “These Guys Are Good” came out, we were okay with that…..not bad, really.
But then came “Live Under Par” and people were scratching their heads over that one and still are. Too many equate that with the equivalent of being “Under The Weather” which isn’t somewhere you’d want to live.
So it sounds like the LPGA Tour felt compelled to come up with their own nifty slogan.
You have to wonder how many brain-twisting, countless hours of mind-straining it took to come up with this one:
“Drive On.”
Not sure what they were thinking when they came up with that. Somehow it’s supposed to empower young girls everywhere that no matter what their circumstance, they can, I guess, drive on. Hopefully they’ll wait until they are 16 to start “driving on.”
Many of the LPGA stars are pretending like they’re really fired up about this and note that we said “pretending.”
If they are really going to use that as the LPGA slogan, it needs to be printed in Korean.
Our slogan for the LPGA Tour this week is “Drive In” — as in “Drive Right Into The Dog House!”
