Losing Ryder Cup captain always gets roasted.
We’ll give Jim Furyk a place to hide this week — in The Dog House!
Furyk did some strange shuffling last week and his team was blown off the course Sunday in Paris.
Furyk, who played on nine Ryder Cup teams, had a non-stellar record of 10-20-4, right behind Phil Mickelson for most losses in Ryder Cup history.
So you think a guy who had that many losses might know how to avoid them.
Not Furyk.
He threw Mickelson into the Friday afternoon alternate shot format even though Mickelson ranked 192nd out of 193 PGA Tour players in driving accuracy. That’s exactly the guy you want out there in alternate shot — IF YOU WANT TO LOSE!
Mission accomplished.
U.S. got blown out and Furyk is in the Dog House.
Party on, Europeans.
