Lefty just can seem to shut up.
Perhaps, this week, in the U.S. team room at the Ryder Cup, someone should serve Lefty a cup of: Shut The Hell Up!
Earlier this week Phil Mickelson had to bring up stuff from 2004 when the U.S. got trounced 181/2 to 91/2. Major blowout.
Well, Hal Sutton did make the mistake of pairing Mickelson with Tiger Woods and if you went back and listened to Steve Williams over the years, Tiger hates Phil’s guts and maybe Phil isn’t a huge Tiger fan either.
But there was Mickelson, blaming Sutton for the failures of team Woods-Mickelson.
After that stewed for a couple of days, Sutton finally shed some real light on what transpired back then:
“Phil created a lot of drama that week, if we remember, because he switched clubs and his ball prior to that week. It was very self-serving for him to do that prior to the Ryder Cup in 2004. So if he needs me to shoulder the blame for his poor play, I can do that.”
Sutton wasn’t through with that one, he added:
“There’s a lot of controversy that follows Phil everywhere. I’ll leave it at that. He wasn’t even prepared with the ball that he brought to the tournament, much less Tiger’s. So I think he needs to search his own soul a little bit.”
Boo-yaaaaa!
Typical Lefty. Blame it on anything and anyone but yourself.

He did the same thing to Tom Watson. Phil has no class! Phil stinks and he needs to come to terms with that fact.
I just heard this morning his half rear apology to Captain Sutton, which it wasn’t an apology, but mostly a last word. Then you have Phil #1 apologist, Tim Rosaforte, saying that Phil was very sincere in his apology. Give me a break, Phil is a liar!
One thing is for sure, all the work this “task force” did for the last two years, Phil put it all in the garbage bin. It is all about Phil and he’s stupidity.
Well Phil, you accomplished what you wanted, all the attention is on you!

Phil should be ashamed of himself, for sure….
whizkid
The story is incomplete ….Lefty was ask if a captain could make a difference and he illustrated that it did by being asked to learn Tigers ball (Nike) instead of being given a couple of weeks notice

Phil switched balls himself before the event so he couldn’t even be used to his own ball…..
