Score another one for The Swoosh.
Although Nike has bid farewell to the golf equipment industry, it is in the thick of it when it comes to Nike’s mainstay — athletic clothing and shoes.
The world’s No. 1 player will be joining the Nike stable.
Jason Day will make his 2017 debut this week at the Tournament of Champions dressed head-to-toe in Nike gear.
Gone will be his familiar Adidas shirts, trousers and shoes.
Day won’t be leaving the TaylorMade staff however when it comes to equipment.
His driver, fairways woods, irons and putter will all remain TaylorMade.
Day referred to his Nike deal as “a dream come true.”
No doubt he was talking about the money.
