Five down and one really nice one to go.
The West Links of North Berwick is our final challenge on our Scotland adventure and it’s a dandy.
We’ll grab an early morning train out of downtown Edinburgh station and take a 25 minute ride to the lovely seaside village of North Berwick. Two great courses live there and the West Links is the most famous.
Pure links, seaside golf. Outward nine heads away from town then after a quick turn, you head back with the town views in the distance.
Off the 12th hole is the Isle of Fidra. Robert Louis Stevenson played there while his grandfather attended to the lighthouse. It became his inspiration for his classic novel — Treasure Island.
This is an exciting final challenge, one we’ll love and look forward to.
