Phil Mickelson will be looking for a new set of eyes on his golf swing.
Mickelson has ended an eight-year relationship with swing coach Butch Harmon and flew to Las Vegas to meet with Harmon in person. Mickelson said it was not something you do on the phone, showing a lot of respect for Harmon.
In the past, Tiger Woods typically let a third party drop the ax on his swing coaches, not so for Mickelson.
Mickelson said he respects Harmon as a teacher and friend.
It’s no huge loss for Harmon. Mickelson, at age 45, is beginning to see his skills diminish. He had only five top 10 finishes last season.
