It’s 2016 and the 2015 season went by in a blur.
Resolutions are fine if you can keep ’em and here’s some resolutions we’d like to see for some of your favorite golfers:
JORDAN SPIETH: Win two more majors, but this year make it the Open Championship and the PGA!
JASON DAY: Win another major and stay healthy.
RORY MCILROY: Win the Masters, complete the career grand-slam.
BUBBA WATSON: Quit your whining and just play some good golf on a more consistent basis.
RICKIE FOWLER: Win multiple titles this season, see if you can push the “Big Three.”
TIGER WOODS: Simply be honest with yourself and everyone else. That’s a tall task, but you can do it, Tiger.
ADAM SCOTT: Make a comeback with the short putter.
THE YOUNG GUYS: Brooks Koepka, Kevin Kisner, Emiliano Grillo, Matthew Fitzpatrick, Justin Thomas, Tony Finau and everyone under 25: Do what the late Al Davis used to say: “Just Win Baby!”
JASON DUFNER: Mount a huge comeback!
DUSTIN JOHNSON: Get serious about golf and learn to think!
VIJAY SINGH: Quit suing the PGA Tour and get your butt over to the Champions Tour where you belong.
PHIL MICKELSON: Get a win.
PGA TOUR: Embrace faster play.
USGA: Put an end to five-hour rounds at the U.S. Open. Oh, forget it, won’t happen. Bring back that old-school U.S. Open rough!
And finally……
U.S. RYDER CUP TEAM: Forget that useless “Task Force.” Get an entire team of young guys who simply want to win.
Happy New Year!
