It took a lot of water to stop Shanshan Feng’s parade on Saturday in Malaysia.
Feng was seven-under par for her third round at the Kuala Lumpur Golf and Country Club and that was strong enough to shoot her into the lead at the LPGA’s Sime Darby.
Feng got herself to 17-under par when play was suspended, a shot in front of Anna Nordqvist, who was five-under through 15 holes when the ladies were forced off the golf course.
Overnight leader Amy Yang was just one-under through 15 and 11-under for the event.
Lydia Ko moved into the top 10 with a six-under par effort of 65 that got her to eight-under par going into the final round. Defending champion Jessica Korda’s 67 got her to seven-under along with Michelle Wie, who was one-under through 15 and seven under par.
