The one thing the Zurich Classic didn’t need on Saturday was more rain.
But that’s exactly what the TPC Louisiana got, a lot of it.
Strong storms pounded the course in the early afternoon and the top eight players, including leader Brian Stuard (12-under), didn’t get to tee off at their allotted 2:10 p.m. time. Later, play was called off for the day with the leaders set to go out early Sunday morning.
“We will definitely be here on Monday,” was the word from PGA Tour officials.
Stuard was going into the third round with a one-shot lead over Jamie Lovemark and Jhonny Vegas.
