Don’t stare at Rickie Fowler’s shoes.
Don’t look too long or you might end up with spots circling your eyes.
Fowler’s shoe combination on Thursday at the Players Championship drew a lot of attention, make that a huge amount of attention.
“I want to lick them,” quipped Dave Feherty.
Fowler showed up on the first tee sporting multi-colored Pumas that featured bright lime green, pink and black.
Both shoes were different.
Sadly, they didn’t help the defending champion in the first round. Fowler hit his final tee shot of the day into the water left of the 18th hole and finished with a double-bogey.
He only managed a 72 but his shoes set a course record.
