Rickie Fowler made a big run on moving day at Gullane Golf Club and is two shots off the lead of Daniel Brooks at the Scottish Open.
Brooks shot a one-under par 69 to keep the lead he held overnight. He’s 12-under through 54 and has plenty of contenders pressing him going into Sunday.
Fowler’s 66 got him to 10-under, a shot back of Frenchman Raphael Jacquelin, who sits alone in second place at 11-under. Tied with Fowler are Joost Luiten and Tommy Fleetwood.
Matt Kuchar’s 67 got him to nine-under while Ryan Palmer couldn’t make up any ground with an even par 70.
Two big names expected to make a Saturday move fell back instead. Both Graeme McDowell and Justin Rose shot two-over 72s and fell back to six-under.
Likewise, it was a lackluster round for Phil Mickelson. His round of 70 kept him at three-under and tied for 57th.
