Watch for Rickie Fowler to go all “Arnold Palmer” for us this week at the Arnold Palmer Invitational.
Fowler showed up last year with some really cool Puma tribute shoes that were later auctioned off to benefit Arnie’s Army and raised a cool $46,000. Not bad for a pair of high-tops.
Look for another pair of cool Arnie shoes on Rickie’s feet this week along with a special cap and of course, a really cool Arnold Palmer carry bag.
Rickie’s been a trend-setter with Puma coming up with more unique gear this season and this week they’re going all out.
Fowler also plans to wear a limited edition pair of Puma Arnold Palmer P Cap Ignite Pro-adapt shoes that feature dancing multi-color umbrellas on the heel and one of the pink sock-liners; the other sock-liner has the famous Palmer quote “I never felt like I didn’t have a chance to win.” Snapback caps are available in three colorways bearing the umbrella logo as well. Those shoes retail for a whopping $250 and the cap are 40 bucks.
Puma plans to sell a limited number of Fowler’s custom items on its website. Additionally, a small number of caps, stand bags and shoes signed by Fowler will be available on www.pumagolf.com, with one hundred percent of the sales going to the Arnold and Winnie Palmer Foundation.
And if you don’t have the coin to afford any of the signed gear, Puma and Arnold Palmer’s team created a contest open to anyone who makes a donation to Palmer’s foundation. The grand prize includes golf at Bay Hill, along with a personal tour of Arnold Palmer’s office. The package will also include Fowler signed custom Arnold Palmer gear (bag, P cap and shoes) and additional Puma apparel.
So look for Rickie to be stylin’ and profilin’ and hopefully he’ll avoid the triple-bogeys this week and get in contention.
