Rickie Fowler was fortunate as a young man to get to know Arnold Palmer a bit, perhaps Palmer liked Rickie’s style. Arnold loved flair and color.
Palmer was the fashion trend-setter in his day, everyone wanted to wear what Arnie was wearing and appropriately, it was just another part of what made him the ultimate endorsement guy.
Rickie’s main sponsor — Puma — came up with the ultimate footwear tribute to Palmer this week with two pair of incredible high-tops that honor The King in a shoe-pictorial, complete with a laser Palmer autograph across the front straps.

Fowler wore his pair during Wednesday’s pro-am at the Arnold Palmer Invitational. He will keep one for his trophy case at his palatial Jupiter riverfront estate, one will stay at Bay Hill, appropriately, to be on display with the rest of the Palmer memorabilia.
