Evidently the “McRib” has “McHealed.”
We haven’t seen Rory McIlroy since the South African Open back in January, the superstar from Northern Ireland found out he had suffered a rib stress fracture right before he was scheduled to play in Abu Dhabi.
Rory’s been on the shelf since then but he’s looking like he’s all healed up.
McIlroy ventured down the road from his intercoastal estate in Jupiter last Sunday and played a quick round with The President — of the United States, Donald Trump.
McIlroy put it out on Twittter, forcing the White House staffers to scramble for statement, which they did.
The big news out of it was that McIlroy will make his return to the PGA Tour next week to play in the WGC event in Mexico, ironically, it’s the event that replaced the stop at Trump’s Doral Resort in Miami.
This week’s tour stop is about 10 minutes from McIlroy’s residence but PGA National is pretty demanding and evidently McIlroy likes the idea of coming back at the no-cut, WGC event that guarantees him four rounds to knock off the McRust.
