Ryder Cup 2022 Heading For Italy

If the United States team has not won the Ryder Cup by 2022, perhaps those players can get some help from the Pope.

The popular biennial matches have been awarded to Rome, the Eternal City by Ryder Cup Europe. The Italians won out over bids from Austria, Germany and Spain.

The Marco Simone Golf and Country Club, located just outside Rome, will be the site when the Europeans and the Americans play out their golf rivalry.

These matches will be another venue outside the United Kingdom. Paris will be hosting the 2018 matches.
