They are mostly young players, up-and-comers, names you probably wouldn’t recognize.
But they are hopeful, many are really, really good players and will have a chance to earn their way on to the PGA Tour’s proving ground this week at the Web.com Q-School.
There is no more PGA Tour Q-School for these players, the Web.com is their ticket to the big show.
The player to watch at PGA National is Ollie Schneiderjans. Schneiderjans played in the PGA Tour’s Fall Series thanks to sponsors exemptions and performed well. He tied for 48th at the Frys, tied for 38th at the Shriners and tied for 50th at Sanderson Farms.
He should be one of the 45 players picking up a Web.com card this weekend.
The biggest change to this year’s competition is that it has been trimmed to 72 holes so there is a lot less margin for error.
