Sergio Garcia, with his eyes closed over his putts, grabbed a share of the 54-hole lead Saturday at the Sanderson Farms Championship.
Garcia’s 66 got him to 14-under par and he’s tied at the top with Aussie Can Davis and J.T. Poston.
Garcia’s putting touch as returned, aided by an unorthodox move — closing his eyes before he hits the putt.
Davis had a spectacular moving day. He shot nine-under par and his 63 got him a share. As for Poston, he holed a lengthy 15-footer at the last hole to save par and keep a piece of the lead.
Overnight leader Keegan Bradley had a horrible start, shooting 39 on the front but he bounced back coming home. His 73 was the highest score among the top contenders and he dropped into a three-way tie for sixth at 12-under.
Brandt Snedeker and Kris Ventura were a shot off the lead at 13-under.
